LeBron James sent shockwaves across the NBA when he suggested that he might retire after his 20th season in the league. The Los Angeles Lakers star, who is widely regarded as one of the best players of all time, said he had to think about his future after the Denver Nuggets eliminated his team in a four-game sweep in the Western Conference Finals.

But Dwyane Wade, who knows James better than most, is not buying it. Wade, who won two championships with James in Miami and is one of his closest friends, said that James was just emotional after a tough loss and that he will be back for another season.

Wade told Shannon Sharpe on his podcast that James is still playing at an elite level and that he has a lot of gas left in the tank. Wade also said that James will need to mentally prepare himself for another season, as he may be feeling tired of the travel, the locker room dynamics, and the expectations.

He said that James has a strong mind that allows him to overcome any challenges and keep going. He added that as long as James stays healthy and motivated, he can average 20+ points for the next couple of years.

He’s been able to mentally do that. I’ve had the chance to watch him for 4 years. If he was hurt, you couldn’t even talk that language in front of him… Because the mind is strong. That’s one of his strongest tools… He has an intelligent strong mind that allows him to keep it going. As long as his mind stays strong, and his body stays strong, he can average 20+ for the next couple of years.” said Wade.

Is LeBron James considering joining Kyrie Irving in Dallas?

Dwayne Wade is confident that James will stay in LA, but there’s some buzz about a possible reunion with Kyrie Irving in Dallas. Irving, who teamed up with James to win a ring in Cleveland, reportedly reached out to James about joining forces again as members of the Dallas Mavericks.

But that scenario is a long shot, as the Mavs would have to give up Luka Doncic to make it happen. Irving, who can opt out of his contract this summer, has a better shot at signing with the Lakers than luring James to Dallas. But the Mavs are determined to keep both Doncic and Irving, so many don’t expect either move to go down.

James is expected to suit up for the Lakers again next season, but he might have some new faces around him. The Lakers are looking to shake up their roster and bring in some experienced players who can help them chase another championship.

James has shown that he can overcome any obstacle and any opponent and carry his team to the top. He has not given any indication of when he will hang up his sneakers, but he has the respect and admiration of everyone in the basketball world. He will keep adding to his legacy as long as he stays on the court.
