“LeBron James to score 53 points in Game 7” – NBA script goes VIRAL, Lakers fans on Twitter approve hoax report
Lakers fans believe LeBron James will lead the to their 28th title after fake script does rounds on Twitter
LeBron James
The NBA Finals are less than a month away, and Los Angeles Lakers fans seem to have found a leaked script claiming their 18th Championship has been decided. The Lakers, however, did lose game 2 to the Denver Nuggets last night 108-103 in a pulsating match which saw LeBron James miss a layup to save the game for LA, and Jamal Murray scored 37 points in a win for Denver.
The script was a hoax but had Lakers fans believing that their next championship was on the way. The fake hand included details such as a ‘referee game flow management’ suggesting the officials rigged each conference finals game and the finals. One astonishing detail claimed that LeBron James would score 53 points in game 7 against the Boston Celtics to seal the title at TD Garden.
As it stands, the Lakers and the Celtics have yet to win a game in their respective conference finals matchups. The alleged script was titled ‘Battle of the 18th’ about the fact that the Lakers and the Celtics are tied on 17 NBA titles. Despite it all being a hoax, the prospect of it being genuine is certainly mouthwatering for NBA fans as it would be one of the most iconic championship runs in NBA history.

Lakers fans believe LeBron James is getting one final ring according to the NBA script
NBA Twitter erupted after this tweet by a Lakers fan and prompted some hilarious reactions from the community. Fans know this piece of media was fake but have not ruled it out since this season has been quite unpredictable; one fan replied, “Not real… but I’ll save this just in case.” If this ‘script’ does come to fruition, it would make LeBron James the oldest player ever to win Finals MVP and give him the highest score in a game 7 of all time.
However, apart from the exaggerations, the biggest giveaway in the fake script was that the final dates were wrong, pointed out by one Twitter user who said, ‘Fake because the dates are wrong.‘ Game 7 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics would take place on the 30th of May, whereas the picture on Twitter states the 28th of May, the scheduled date for Game 6.
Another error with the dates was that in bold lettering, it stated the ‘Final air date’ is the 18th of July instead of the 18th of June when the NBA Finals game 7 would occur. “So fake but why did I save this and made some adjustments to my draft kings.” – replied one Twitter user who has placed his bets on the rare possibility of this fake script coming true.
