LeBron James has frequently expressed his desire to play alongside his elder son, Bronny James, in the NBA. In August 2022, he revealed that he has contemplated the possibility of also sharing the court with his younger son, Bryce James.

With this goal in mind, the Lakers legend seemed to reaffirm his ambition of playing alongside both of his sons in a new commercial released on Monday.

In a commercial for Beats By Dre, James can be seen wearing the popular headphones, while his wife, Savannah James, provides the narration. At one juncture, she dropped a hint that James might play alongside both Bronny and Bryce in the future.

She said:

Tell them you’re not done until you play with your son. Then do that—again.

When Savannah mentioned the word “again,” the camera shifted from a close-up of Bronny’s face to a close-up of Bryce, alluding to the possibility of LeBron playing with both of his sons in the NBA.

For James to have the opportunity to play alongside both of his sons, he would need to continue his NBA career until at least the 2026-27 season. Currently, Bronny is a freshman at USC, and Bryce is a high school junior. Based on the current NBA rules, the earliest Bryce could enter the NBA draft is in 2026. If LeBron were to play in that season, he would be 41 years old at the start of it.

LeBron James wants to win more championships with the Lakers

LeBron James isn’t settling for a single Lakers championship. As the 2023-24 season nears, he’s determined to win more and decorate the Lakers’ offices with additional championship trophies.

In a pre-game interview before the Lakers’ regular season opener on October 24 against the Denver Nuggets, James emphasized that he joined the Lakers with the clear goal of winning.

He said:

When I came here, I felt like I didn’t just want to be here for a short stint,” he said. “I came in with the notion that I wanted to help this franchise get back to the postseason…and be able to put another one of those Larry O'Brien trophies back in Jeanie Buss’ office. And I was able to do that. [I want to] move one of those Larry O’Brien trophies to the side and put another one up.

As he enters his 21st season, LeBron James continues to be driven by his motivation, with the pursuit of another championship constantly at the forefront of his mind.
