Shaquille O’Neal on Friday hosted one of the most exhilarating pre-Super Bowl gatherings in Las Vegas, ahead of Super Bowl LVIII. Accompanied by the renowned rapper Lil Wayne, the LA Lakers and NBA icon transformed the occasion into his yearly extravaganza, dubbed the “Shaq Fun House.” The event was hosted at XS nightclub, located in Wynn on the Vegas strip, where Shaq drew a crowd which was eager to experience his electrifying performance.

When Shaq, under his stage name “DJ Diesel,” kicked off the show, he brought his A-game, delivering an electrifying performance that got the crowd pumped. However, he later handed over the reins to DJ Diplo, the co-creator and lead member of the electronic dancehall music project Major Lazer.

In its sixth edition, Shaquille O’Neal’s “Shaq Fun House” proved to be a major success for the basketball legend. Amidst the celebration, O’Neal took a moment to remember his dear friend and Lakers teammate, the late Kobe Bryant. Reflecting on the unveiling of Bryant’s statue outside the Crypto.com Arena, the emotional NBA star and TV host expressed his heartfelt desire of seeing Bryant witness the tribute firsthand.

Shaquille O’Neal makes an unusual request to the NFL

With the NFL hosting the LVIII Super Bowl in Las Vegas this year, Shaquille O’Neal seized the opportunity to make a significant ask. The basketball legend is advocating for the NFL to make Sin City the permanent home for the Super Bowl, aiming to capitalize on the city’s allure and excitement year after year.

He stated:

I think they should have the Super Bowl here every year. I think the NFL should do a 20, 50-year deal because it makes sense. Hotel accommodations, like a lot of cities when you go to the Super Bowl, if you don’t call early, you’re not gonna get it.

In tonight’s Super Bowl LVIII matchup, the San Francisco 49ers will face off against the defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Chiefs aiming to secure consecutive Super Bowl victories, they seek to achieve a milestone that has eluded NFL franchises for the past 20 years.
