The Tigers won their first game against Rice, and passed the second round with ease, beating the Middle Tennesse. Mulkey and the team await their third-round opponent, as they’re set to play on the 30th of March.

After two years of trying to get me to sit with him for an interview, he contacts LSU on Tuesday, as we're getting ready for the first-round game of this tournament with more than a dozen questions, demanding a response by Thursday, right before we're scheduled to tip-off.

The coach was furious and also went on to threaten to sue the Washington Post if they posted yet another false story on Mulkey.

Are you kidding me? This was a ridiculous deadline that LSU and I could not meet. And the reporter knew it. It was just an attempt to prevent me from commenting and an attempt to distract us fom this tournament. It ain't gonna work buddy.

With the tournament underway, and the Tigers having qualified for the Sweet 16, Mulkey will look to finish the job, as they’re expected to meet their rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Final Four.

Following their first-round victory, the Tigers’ huge win against Middle Tennessee, 83-56, set them off to a great run. As they gear up for the Sweet 16, Mulkey will look to divert media attention away from herself. The lawsuit that Kim Mulkey has decided to file with the Washington Post doesn’t have any actual updates yet.

However, the reporter in question turns out to be Kent Babb. There have been no direct statements from Mulkey to Babb.

At this crucial stage, Kim can only think of the importance of this issue while her team goes on to play either UCLA or Creighton. The Tigers are on the verge of repeating an NCAA title. It will be interesting to see if Angel Reese and company can win back-to-back.
