Luka Doncic and Klay Thompson exchange secret words after Mavericks Game 4 win vs Warriors
Luka Doncic and Klay Thompson
Luka Doncic helped the Dallas Mavericks avoid a scary sweep in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. The Golden State Warriors looked extremely dominant during those first games limiting the Mavs offense to a minimum. Even though last night was a major sign of relief for the young team, Dallas will have to fight to pull off a series victory the league has never seen before.
Doncic has been very vocal during the last series versus the Phoenix Suns and also coming into the WCF. The player has established his mark as the face and the future of the NBA while putting up legendary numbers during the playoffs. He became one of three players in the history of the league to average 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. Only time will reveal how the series will pan out.
Luka Doncic keeps the Mavericks’ hopes alive after demolishing the Warriors with his offensive skills
The Mavericks kept a decent lead throughout the entire game allowing the Warriors to outscore them in the fourth quarter alone. Luka Doncic led the team with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists with 2 blocks as well as 2 steals. Dorian Finney Smith had an additional 23 points as the Mavs shot 50% from the field, 46.5% from beyond the three-point arc, and 77.3% from the free-throw line.
Golden State had a monstrous final 12 minutes in the game scoring 39 points. But the roster hardly showed out on offense as they usually would. Stephen Curry led the team with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists shooting 7 of 16 from the field. Rookie Jonathan Kuminga showed his talents finishing with 17 points and 9 rebounds shooting 5-11 from the field. They shot only 35.7% on 28 attempts from the three-point arc.
Luka Doncic gets into a short confrontation with Klay Thompson
Luka Doncic literally dominated the entire floor at the American Airlines Center in Game 4. The Slovenian superstar made sure to assert his presence during the game as well. Doncic was also very expressive during the second round of the playoffs against the Suns and the whole world did not see that coming.
After the scores were finalized, Luka and Klay Thompson were seen exchanging a couple of words in the middle of the court. It all started after the Mavs star had grabbed the ball away from rookie Moses Moody and tried to intimidate him with a stare-down. Thompson immediately walked up to Doncic and confronted him. Nobody knows what words were uttered but thankfully there were no physical exchanges.
