Marcus Smart, the Memphis Grizzlies Guard, and an NHL Executive were recently impersonated by a man named Matthew James for pulling a $600 Million medical insurance scam. The conman was sentenced to 12 years in prison. But fans on social media were shaken by the news. While some showed concern, others found the situation utterly hilarious.

In an NBA contract, the players have facilities such as Medical Insurance. Matthew James tried to get the facility by impersonating Smart. The trial saw the player testify against James, as he expressed frustration towards the situation.
