We're back there smoking joints with Woody Harrelson; it was unbelievable. We go to the club, and then Snoop hits us; he was in town. So me, Baron, Jack, and my sister went to the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco… Snoop would roll a mother***er up and pass it, so at one point, we have three or four blunts in our hands.

The Dubs made it to the playoffs in 2007 as the eighth seed, and with the Dallas Mavericks, the better team, they were the bookmakers’ favorites to win the series. The game is never played on paper, as the Warriors proved their worth in the series.

Matt Barnes shares why he rejected his NBA title with the Golden State Warriors

Matt Barnes also shared events during the Dubs 2017 championship win where he was disappointed that his playing time was grossly limited despite the initial joy of returning to the Bay Arena.

Barnes was a crucial figure in the franchise’s era tagged “We Believe” and was brought back as a replacement for Kevin Durant, who had suffered an MCL injury. Despite playing his role well, a right ankle injury and foot sprain cut shut his opportunities. He said he intentionally left his championship ring until Coach Steve Kerr gave it to him three years later.

Although he doubted his title-winning status, he admitted to enjoying the experience as he tried to play his part as a veteran on the team. However, whether he agrees that he is an NBA champion or not, no one can question the experience and leadership he brought due to him being a part of the franchise’s humble beginnings.
