“Bum a** motherf**ker,” Matt Barnes rips apart Knicks Analyst for disrespecting Tyrese Haliburton
Matt Barnes and Tyrese Haliburton
Earlier this week after the game between Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks, former NBA player Wally Szczerbiak called Tyrese Haliburton a “wannabe fake All-Star.” Matt Barners, the former Golden State Warriors player took an exception to that. He slammed Szczerbiak for his careless comments on a player who is performing at a high level in the league.
Calling Szczerbiak out for disrespecting current players in the league, Barnes said he was a “b*m a** mo********er.” Barnes was confused why an ex-NBA player would call any of the current players fake All-Star. “I don’t see why former players feel like it’s their spot… does it make them feel better to disrespect these guys,” said Barnes.
Alluding to Wally’s comments about Tyrese, Barnes also brought forth the fact that these NBA players work very hard to reach this level, where very few get any chance in their lifetime. The former NBA player said, “There have been 5000 players in the NBA… So these guys can respect and understand how hard it is for these young boys to kind of make their way.”
Interestingly, Haliburton is leading the league in assists this season. He is also averaging over 19 points in the season and has been a driving force behind the Pacers’ success. Barnes further added, “If you know the game well enough you can talk about plenty of other sh*t to critique…and I thought what Wally Szczerbiak did was some b*tch a*s sh*t.”

Perhaps Szczerbiak was just trying to make a case for his Knicks player Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson, and he thought it was all right to put Haliburton under the bus. As Wally said: “He’s a very good player, he’s not going to make the All-Star team. Guys like Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson will make it over Tyrese Haliburton, and tonight we saw why.”
Tyrese Haliburton finally responded to Wally’s comments about him being a “wannabe fake All-Star.” Speaking about Szczerbiak, Haliburton said he had no idea about Wally’s NBA career. “I am a basketball historian. And, I feel like I know a lot about the game, I know the name Wally Szczerbiak. I couldn’t tell you where he played. I couldn’t tell you what he did as a basketball player,” Tyrese said.
The Indiana Pacers star also added that after people sent him the videos of Szczerbiak talking about him he was confused. He said he was like, “first who is this and why is he talking about me like this.” He added that he hasn’t requested people to vote for him in the All-Star selection. “I don’t know if I have ever came out and said like I want to be an All-Star this year please vote for me,” he remarked. “He is doing whatever he can do to get attention…that’s just the media these days,” Tyrese added.
