“I NEVER SAID THAT” Max Kellerman defends himself after Draymond Green clapped back at analyst for devaluing Steph Curry
Draymond Green has been making appearances on numerous sports entertainment shows and often finds himself attracting a lot of attention to whatever he says. A brief summary would be that the Warriors during their championship reigns had two players in debate. This has often led to massive arguments between players and fans as well as analysts.
Many believe that Stephen Curry was a much better player than Kevin Durant during those finals runs and some think otherwise. However, the team had four appearances for the title and won two between 2017 and 2018. KD was awarded the finals MVP trophy and with the recent scenario, some have come out to say that Curry will have to win the same award this year to be placed above his former teammate as one of the greatest players of all time.
Draymond Green affirms that Curry is much better than Durant under any circumstance
As Draymond Green joins Chef Curry one more time in the finals, he clapped back at the analysts and critics who have pressuring his brother to win a finals MVP to be an all-time great. “Kevin Durant was absolutely incredible in those finals runs. Steph Curry got double-teamed probably seven times the amount that KD did in any series… this is a double team from a team that’s playing in the finals, these are real double teams,” he said.
“They need those shiny objects for them to be able to analyze what’s going on… Steph Curry got double teamed 7X the amount KD did…the impact he has on a game, if you don’t understand basketball, you’re going to say he needs a FMVP to validate who he is.” – Dray on Steph/FMVP pic.twitter.com/G5fY0olGLR

Dray was implying that Curry would have won the finals MVP awards over Durant if it were not for the double teams that limited his effectiveness. “They need those shiny objects for them to be able to analyze what’s going on,” he said slamming the analysts for their takes. Kevin did not agree to with what his former teammate had to say about the double teams replying to him on Twitter saying, “From my view of it, this is 100% false.” Green would reply against saying, “You have to learn to listen to full takes and not snippets before you get baited into tweeting Champ.”

Max Kellerman addresses the comments of Draymond Green
ESPN reporter Max Kellerman reacted to Draymond Green calling out the analysts for their take. He said, “I never said that. He (Curry) is top fifteen player of all time. But that’s not a birth right, you just pop into the top ten, you gotta move someone out. Those guys were all in the top ten, at some point the best player in basketball.” Fellow cast member Jay Williams countered back saying he believed Draymond was right because Kellerman had kept bringing out the outcome of the finals runs saying KD was better than Steph.
Ultimately, there were many other reasons why the duo failed to win the title in their first season together. The roster was dealing with a suspension of their best defensive piece and in the coming years injuries would damage them all the way to the bottom. But both players are one of the greatest in their own right in terms of scoring and shooting the ball without any problem.
