Michael Jordan is arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, yet the Chicago Bulls legend managed to learn some integral lessons off the court, especially at the time when he was divorcing his first wife, Juanita Vanoy.

Known as the money-making machine, Jordan has surely been as successful in his business ventures as he was on the court. But he still had to note a few learning ahead of his second marriage with Yvette Prieto. Michael Jordan’s divorce was one of the most talked about matters when it happened.

Keeping aside the accolades of Michael Jordan for once, fans would be aware that he was married to his long-time sweetheart, Juanita Vanoy. The couple seemed happy and head-over-heels in love but eventually the marriage turned out a disaster.

To make matters worse for Jordan, at the time of the divorce, he had to fork out $168 Million after this divorce, despite a prenup being in place.

At that time, it accounted for nearly half of his $350 Million net worth. Given that this could be deemed as one of the most ruthless life lessons one could get, Jordan decided not to repeat his mistakes when he married Prieto in 2013.

Did Michael Jordan get a prenup with his second wife?

Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto did sign a prenuptial agreement, as per Ellen Connolly of the Global Post“Under the terms, it is claimed the model will receive $1 million for each year married if they divorce, but the amount will increase to $5 million a year after a decade of marriage.”

At the time of signing this deal, MJ’s net worth stood at a whopping $650 million, nearly double what it was during his first divorce. Better yet, the man is now worth a jaw-dropping $2.2 billion.

That being said, Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto are reported to often take some time off to enjoy their married life with the kids. Yet it is not an unknown fact that MJ has already taken measures if things go downhill in his love life yet again. Hopefully, this time MJ’s marriage does float in the same manner his basketball career did.
