“Don’t be too hard on him” NBA Analyst backs up Ben Simmons after viral “lousy jumper” video had him TRAMPLED by fans
Ben Simmons spent well over a year away from playing basketball and claims that his life was flipped upside down for the worse. He already made his official debut with the Brooklyn Nets but is far from what they expect him to be. This can be solved over time and practice.
A recently video of the Aussie airballing a midrange shot went viral and fans begin trolling him over it. However, Zach Lowe was timid with his response to the awful shot saying, “Time. Everyone needs to chill on like blacktop airballs and preseason games.”
“Ben Simmons has not played a meaningful NBA game in almost a year and a half, and we’re all sitting here, fretting over, ‘Does he fit?” He continued,”Just give them some time in real basketball games. It’s not gonna be that easy even though they have a ton of shooting around him.”
Ben Simmons yet to recover from his vacation
Ben Simmons has had struggles adapting to the point guard position but it seems that the Nets are not planning to change it. At his position, the former All-Star is required to have a versatile playing style, most importantly to be able to shoot the ball. But this is not his biggest skill.
He has always been comfortable being a playmaker on the court and is well known for his top tier defending. Experts believe all the Nets would need to do is shift him to that position and let Kyrie Irving work the point guard roll. It seems like the team has a whole other game plan.
Ben Simmons has never been confiden with his outside shooting. In his five and half year long career, the player has only shot 5 three-point field goals. This may not entire cause harm to the Nets but considering his size and athleticism, an added skill would be a monstrous upgrade for the team.
