“It is POSSIBLE” NBA analyst discloses the Lakers coach prefers Russell Westbrook to lead off the bench
Darvin Ham and Los Angles Lakers stars LeBron James, Russell Westbrook
The Los Angeles Lakers are making attempts to find an ideal trade for Russell Westbrook. But they aren’t able to find anything suitable for him as of date. With a new head coach ready to set the pace, it is now up to Darvin Ham to find an appropriate role for him, if any trade doesn’t take place. There are reports that Russell might be the sixth man on the team.
NBA analysts Sam Amick and Jovan Buha of “The Athletic” disclosed this news. They said, “It seems clear that Russell Westbrook will have to outplay new additions Patrick Beverley and Dennis Schroder if he’s going to retain his starting role.” Their sources reported that, “The prospect of Westbrook coming off the bench is being strongly considered.”
It will be interesting to see how Russell Westbrook can handle such a role. The former MVP has been part of the starting lineup since his debut in the NBA league. Darvin Ham seems to have worked out a plan for Russell; these are good signs for him. He will have an opportunity to pay back and prove his mettle. Let’s hope that this new role for Westbrook ascends his confidence and brings his fiery performance back on the court for his team.
The LA Lakers, Knicks, Jazz, and Hornets discussed a 4-team deal
The LA Lakers are reportedly planning to acquire some veterans and are in contact with the New York Knicks, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Utah Jazz. The Lakers acquired services this offseason by signing Dennis Schroder and point guard Patrick Beverley. NBA Insiders Jovan Buha and Sam Amick of “The Athletic” have recently revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers have discussed a 4-team earlier in the summer.
They stated, “The Lakers discussed a four-team trade with Utah, New York and Charlotte ahead of the Donovan-Mitchell-to-Cleveland trade, according to league sources. One preliminary iteration of a four-team deal would have had Bojan Bogdanovic and Terry Rozier going back to Los Angeles.” There is no doubt that both of those players would be good additions to the Los Angeles Lakers roster. But it will be interesting to see whether these additions turn out to be fruitful for the Lakers or not.
