Luka Doncic‘s value is soaring on and off the court during his MVP-caliber season as his rookie trading card is put up for a bounty. Doncic has been a star since the moment he stepped foot on an NBA court. NBA card collector Shyne150 has put a massive 1.5 million dollar bounty on Luka’s rookie card. This particular card is a 1/1 rare piece that nobody has ever seen.
Besides the fact that the card is of Luka Doncic’s, its rarity alone has boosted the bounty. Card collecting is a popular hobby in the United States, and NBA fans will be hunting for this rare find. Doncic was already playing 32 minutes a game as a rookie and averaged 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists on his way to winning Rookie of the Year.
The bounty on this card could very well increase with the way Doncic has been playing. He is averaging a career-high 33 points this season in his bid to win the MVP. He has also become the first person to record 60 points and 20 assists in a triple-double in NBA history this season. Doncic will continue to break more records the way he is playing and with that, the value of his rookie card might just keep increasing.

Luka Doncic has been hot but the Mavericks not as much
The Dallas Mavericks are right on the edge of the play-ins at the sixth seed and could fall lower than that. The Mavs have lost 4 of their last 5 games with their only win coming against the Spurs who are on a 16-game skid. Luka has averaged 30 points throughout these 5 games but to no avail. Despite Kyrie Irving’s addition, the Mavericks cannot seem to find wins.
Luka and Kyrie have both put up great stats individually so far but they cannot seem to find the chemistry. Late in the game against the Lakers, Luka fumbled Kyrie’s inbound pass leading to a costly turnover in the 4th quarter. Kyrie can be seen talking to Luka about what he expected him to do as the communication seems off. Even early into Kyrie’s time with the Mavs there was a final possession where Luka and Kyrie played ‘hot potato’ with the ball and did not even get a shot off in the end.
A 14-point halftime lead was squandered by the Mavs against the Lakers by the time the fourth quarter started. The Mavs were on the wrong side of a long-standing NBA record where teams were 138-0 while having a 27-point lead. Luka can only do so much to carry Dallas this year, it’s on Jason Kidd to figure his tactics out.
