The Los Angeles Lakers are now in a world of trouble in their quest for finding a new coach for their squad which put their ex-coach Frank Vogel under the bus in order to shift the blame for their terrible season, which saw them being thrown out before even being able to qualify for the playoffs. The Lakers had a season so bad that the blame kept shifting from one person to the other, with the entire burden piling up on the shoulders of two people in the entire team, Coach Vogel and Russel Westbrook, who according to many were scapegoated, and the result of this was that the team is now on a tough search for a new coach.
The Los Angeles Lakers have had a terrible year, and this doesn’t just include the squad but the management and even the owners, who at one point were the target of the entire league for various reasons. The Coach, out of all these people was a constant target the entire time, which is exactly the reason why he was removed from the team, and relieved of all of his duties, and that removal wasn’t very pretty, it was done without him knowing and neither did the team bother to give him a personal/formal communication, in fact, it was brought to light by one people in the media.
With the team now without a coach, they’re now on a quest to find a new one, who hopefully does what they expect him to do, and doesn’t eventually go down the same lane where he is thrown under the bus for being the leader of a horrendous squad. The Lakers after firing their head coach Frank Vogel found themselves in a world of trouble as they now are on the search of a new Head-Coach, the methods of which have been deemed as unconventional, for which unlike every other time, special permissions are being taken, in order to fit the requirements of a special team unlike no other.

As per Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Lakers, unlike every other time where you call a dozen Coaches at once in order to interview them, and therefore take permission for the whole bunch, are taking special permission for a bunch of 2-3 Coaches at a time and are then moving to the next set of coaches to make the search a bit more detailed and specific. The Lakers are trying this new method for the first time, for which special permissions are being taken as the requirements are unlike no other.
