Oklahoma City Thunder sophomore Josh Giddey has sent Twitter into a frenzy after TikTok star Megan Eugenio posted a photo with him following their play-in win against the New Orleans Pelicans. Giddey and OKC have surpassed expectations this season, as they are one win away from a playoff berth while being projected to be a lottery team this season.
The Oklahoma City Thunder is one of the NBA’s most intriguing young teams. They defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 123-118 on Wednesday, April 12, in the opening round of the play-in competition, setting up a winner-take-all game against the Timberwolves on Friday. A handful of thirty-point outings from two of the Thunder’s premier players propelled them to victory. Josh Giddey scored 31 points, ten assists, and nine rebounds, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points.
Australian-born Giddey, 20, has had a stellar second season in the league and has distinguished himself as one of the game’s most adaptable players. Giddey is a 6’9 point guard considered a ‘unicorn’ in today’s NBA as he can shoot threes, and his height gives him the court vision to pass over everyone. OKC will hope Giddey can continue his scoring form in tonight’s outing against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Giddey is just in his second year in the league as a 20-year-old, while Megan Eugenio, also known as ‘overtimemegan’ on her socials, is a 23-year-old influencer. Megan posted a photo on Twitter with Giddey after his sublime outing, and Giddey liked the Tweet as well, which confirmed what was on every fan’s mind. “31!!!!! INSANITY!! Super proud @joshgiddey,” Tweeted Megan.
“Bro is winning on and off the court,” tweeted one fan in reaction to their photo together. However, not all fans were as sure of the matter entirely as they could be good friends considering Giddey is a young star who meets a lot of people, which was seen when one fan replied – “Hold on…what’s going on?” after seeing Megan’s tweet.
People in the comments logically concluded Josh Giddey and Megan Eugenio are dating after seeing two and two. Someone asked if they were dating or not. However, Megan replied to the user with the word “no” in what looks to be a deleted message. Giddey has not spoken publicly about his love life yet, but NBA fans are ready to believe the rumors.
