Russell Westbrook
The Los Angeles Lakers deserted player Russell Westbrook had an unforgettable match against the LA Clippers. The Clippers came out as a top team and won the game by 103-97. The NBA fans were, however, quick to react and mock Russell Westbrook.
Russell Westbrook in the Lakers roster was a concern for everyone for a long time, and his performance in the two games has added much oil to the fire. When asked about his performance after the game, he stated in his post-match interview video which was tweeted by Spectrum SportsNet, “Not sure. No particular reason to a fault. Competed. Solid, played hard – that’s all you can ask for. Move on to the next one.”
The Lakers lost both games in the ongoing NBA season. The team has some areas which need to be addressed as soon as possible before time runs out of their hands. It will be interesting to see how the Lakers’ head coach and the team players plan to make a comeback. Russell even stated that he has good communication with the Lakers’ management.
NBA fans react to Russell Westbrook’s miserable shooting performance
It looks like Russell Westbrook has failed to adapt to his role, which was in the mind of the HC Darvin Ham. Last year and this season until now, Russell has looked miserable and uncanny. Even though the team is at fault, fans have made it to mock and laugh at Russell now and then.
Some of them even blame him entirely for the loss. His form also has not helped him to shut the criticism. He had made an impressive career for himself, although he’s not been able to do the same for the LA Lakers.
Besides his low shooting rate, he even gave out missed passes and several missed 3-pt attempts. With the new season just begun, it is essential that Russell gets back to form and shuts down all the mocking, and proves his talent. Some of the many fan reactions can be seen below:
