“That’s his level now” NBA Twitter reacts to Zion Williamson trash talking and dunking on kids in a local gym
Zion Williamson one of the league biggest recruits… so they though. The former number one overall pick was looked over as a freak of nature and a big challenge waiting to be accepted by the rest of the NBA. During his initial few games, he proved that his skills have true potential. But the only problem that hindered his projected dominant career was his weight.
The New Orleans Pelicans forward had a rocky start to his career facing an ankle injury he endured before the start of the 2019-20 regular season. Many speculated that the injury had to do with his weight as it did not go hand in hand with his athletic nature. When he returned, he averaged 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. The following season he made a dominant returned putting up 27 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game shooting 61.1% from the field.
Zion Williamson makes his basketball debut after missing one whole season
A video of Zion Williamson surfaced the internet and he looks as if he is ready to start competing at the highest level once again. A fan captured a video of him dunking over high schoolers during a summer camp. While showing off that he is fit and healthy he said, “Any of y’all think y’all can do something to me?” which was an obvious taunt towards the kids in the gym or could it have been a threat towards the league on his impending return?
The 21-year old has officially been cleared to playing in the upcoming season alongside All-Star Brandon Ingram and Co. He missed the entirety of the previous season after breaking his right fifth metatarsal during the pre-season training camp last year. As he is out of his rookie contract, he will be eligible to sign a five-year max deal worth $186 million. He mentioned that he is confident that he will remain a Pelican for a few more years saying, “Absolutely, I could sign it fast enough,” one being asked if he was interested in re-signing with the team.
NBA Twitter trolls slam Zion Williamson for balling against high schoolers
It is definitely good seeing Zion Williamson back on his feet playing the sport. The way he announced his health condition did not seem like something that would be done by anybody else. Of course, the NBA star was probably having some fun but it seemed like a perfect opportunity for the trolls to get back at him again. Here are a few reactions.
