After Frank Vogel was sacked in a rather demeaning manner after a tough and challenging 2021-22 season, Jeanie Buss and the Los Angeles Lakers have a task to hire a new and appealing head coach. For which, as per the latest reports, Buss has been consulting former and arguably one of the most successful coaches, Phil Jackson. Upon hearing the same news, Nick Wright could not help but opinionate on the same matter.
On the latest episode of First Things First, Nick Wright criticized Lakers owner Jeanie Buss for consulting Phil Jackson for acquiring Lakers’ new coach. Basically, the spots media personality went onto condemn Jeanie for once again making decisions with consultancy from her inner circle, which included Kurt and Linda Rambis.

What was opinionated by Nick Wright on Jeanie Buss?
To bring everyone on the same page, Kurt and Linda Rambis have been serving as advisors to Jeanie Buss and the Los Angeles Lakers for some-decent-time. Meanwhile, Phil Jackson was linked with a return to the franchise as a head coach a couple of a months ago but is now being linked as a consultant.
“The last time Phil Jackson was a relevant NBA person, high-definition television didn’t exist. Is it too much too ask that Jeanie Buss – when she is deciding who is going to steward the franchise – look further than the top list of guests of the wedding she almost had to Phil Jackson?
“It’s the Los Angeles Lakers. Can you open up the aperture a little bit and not just called what would have been your top-eight on MySpace 20 years ago to figure out who to steward the team.”
The Lakers have a huge task on their hand with not only major problems on the court but off it as well. With Russell Westbrook’s trio with AD and Bron not working, the purple and gold are bound to make some interesting decision in order to have any chances of contesting for the championship in the next season. With all said and done, this off season is going to decide to fate of many personnel associated to the franchise? What drama awaits? Remains to be seen, as time unravel all answers.
