Kevin Durant has been heavily trolled and criticized since the Golden State Warriors won their fourth title in the last eight seasons this year without him. With Stephen Curry getting his first-ever FMVP by driving the bus. Now many are clowning KD for his decision to leave the Dubs and fall on the unfortunate end as the Celtics who the Warriors took out in six games are the same team which swept the Brooklyn Nets off the postseason by winning 4-0. Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors have some great success stories as the Brooklyn Nets’ star won his only two championships and two FMVPs with the team and since then has been out of sight. He left the team for two big reasons the first one was to establish himself out there and win alone and the second was the increasing chemistry issues between the team.
With the Dubs winning without him now everyone is trolling and criticizing KD for leaving the team. But unexpectedly, Nick Wright who too has him ranked below Stephen Curry now came out to his defense. As even he believes Kevin Durant’s move of leaving the Warriors to chase success was very right but isn’t getting along the correct way. As he is not on the winning end and is still talking the trash back. The Nets Star had a better year coming off the injuries but again it’s all washed and wasted now as his rivals lifted the title. Even Draymond Green and the Dub Nation who should be thankful to him are firing wild shots at him to just get them the higher rank.
Nick Wright agreed with the criticism of him not driving the bus but just staying in as a rider. He was also fair and consistent while explaining the post KD and Steph breakup. Later while discussing the attack Kevin Durant has to face after the criticism he denied many claims by other analysts and fans as he defended the Nets’ star knowing it was the fans and media who forced him to leave the Dubs or else he would have won seven championships.

Nick Wright blames media for Kevin Durant’s departure from the Golden State Warriors
Nick Wright defending Kevin Durant quoted: “Where I will defend Kevin Durant is this, because what is happening right now is people like, ‘Oh, my god, he made such a mistake. Why would he leave Golden State?’ Because we f*****g told him to! The whole media said, ‘Your legacy will be trashed forever unless you leave, unless you go win somewhere else.’”
Nick Wright just said it all out and has uncovered the hidden reality which many are aware of but don’t want it to come back into existence. As it was the fans and media who called out Kevin Durant as a snake for getting free rings. But that’s not really the truth as the game being a team sport everything depends upon the chemistry the players show between them and how they play together. The Dubs may have won two or three more championships with Kevin Durant if the injuries didn’t ruin it all for them and caused the break-up.
