“This f*cking guy really said that?” Nick Wright is in utter disbelief after Patrick Beverley’s blatantly logged shots at LeBron and AD

Patrick Beverley and Nick Wright
To solve their defensive woes, the Lakers had recently acquired the services of veteran NBA player Patrick Beverley. The Los Angeles Lakers had a dismal season last season, winning 33 games and losing 49. The Lakers were only a ghost of their 2019-20 season selves, failing to make the playoffs following a final-game defeat to the Phoenix Suns. The club was plagued by injuries, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis out for the majority of the season, and Russell Westbrook, the team’s wonderchild, unable to stop the ship from sinking.

The Lakers are working hard to exorcise the ghosts of previous seasons, but one of their own was seen rubbing salt in their wounds. Normally, one would expect the Celtics or Clippers to take jabs due to their fierce rivalry, but the team’s newest recruit, Patrick Beverley, fired shots at the team and demonstrated how he’s a Clipper at heart.

Nick Wright is angry with Patrick Beverley’s comments

Patrick Beverley revealed a part of himself at his first press conference that he rarely shows in interviews. When asked what it will be like to play with James and Davis, his reaction was simple yet savage, “They’re gonna be playing with me. I made the playoffs last year, they didn’t. It’s a difference.” However, this didn’t go well with both fans and NBA pundits alike, Nick Wright being the most significant of them all
Nick Wright slammed Pat Bev on “What’s Wright with Nick Wright,” saying he lacked self-awareness. He offered examples of teams that performed better when the defensive-minded guard was not there. “He (Patrick Beverley) says ‘anywhere I go we make the playoffs.’ Fun fact, he was in Houston, they never made it out of Round 2. He then got hurt, and they make the conference finals for the first time since Hakeem (Olajuwon) was there.”
He continued by saying that team was like, “‘Oh boy, we’d give you Pat Bev straight up one for one will you, do it?’ That’s it. And this f**king guy is saying LeBron James, arguably the greatest player ever, inarguably one of the three greatest players ever, and Anthony Davis, who’s a top 75 guy and a champion, they get to play with me because I made the playoffs last year they didn’t.” After his backlash, Patrick Beverley surely has a lot to prove and show the NBA world he is everything that he claims he is and help Lebron James and co to repeat their 2020 title run, will he be able to do it though? Only time will tell
