The Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns have put on a show in the second round of the postseason. The Nuggets took a 2-0 lead in the series following a Game 2 victory at home. The Suns hosted Denver for Game 3, as they play without Chris Paul. Phoenix finally comes up with a win, as they took Game 3, 119-112. The Nuggets, on the other hand, still lead the series behind the two-time MVP, Nikola Jokic.
Jamal Murray and Jokic have led the team throughout the postseason. Individually speaking, Jokic has been playing his best basketball in playoffs this season. The Joker is averaging 27 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists a game. He’s been putting in decent triple-double numbers, as seen in Game 3. Murray, on the other hand, leads the team in scoring, putting up 32 points while shooting 44% from the field.
With his recent performance, Jokic comes one step closer to record the most triple-doubles by a center in the postseason. Despite the loss, Joker filled the stat sheet with 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 17 assists, as he equals Wilt Chamberlain‘s record. For as great as Wilt was, he had only managed to record nine triple-doubles in his playoff career. Magic Johnson holds the record for the most triple-doubles in a playoff career, having 30 such games. At 28 years old, Jokic has achieved the same feat, with a lot more playoff series left in his career.

Nikola Jokic is currently the best Big Man in the Postseason
In this series, Jokic has been putting up 30 points while grabbing 16 rebounds a game. Compared to Wilt, Jokic is not the most athletic center in the league. On the other hand, Chamberlain’s athleticism is what stood out for him, as he went on to play other sports as well. The Joker has the skill set of a guard as well as a center, being one of the most versatile centers in the league.
Looking at his numbers, Jokic has been a dominant force on the floor. The Joker continues to score nearly 30 points a game, while he generates the same number for his team through his assists. Throughout the years, Jokic has been the greatest point generator among all the centers in the league. With the Nuggets leading the series 2-1, Jokic and Murray will look to extend the lead in Game 4.
The Suns held off the Nuggets at home, though Game 3 was indeed a close one. Without their guard, Chris Paul, the Suns managed a victory, and they’ll try to repeat the same going into Game 4.
