“He gonna get his” – Nikola Jokic gets REVENGE warning from player he injured for 58 games with blindside ‘sucker shot’

In the 2021 season, when Nikola Jokic was having his historic back-to-back MVP season, during which he carried the Denver Nuggets in the regular season in the absence of Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr., his season had many highlights but also a lowlight. This lowlight occurred when he received a suspension for hitting Markieff Morris, causing him to fall to the floor and sidelining him for 58 games.
The incident took place during a game between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets after Markieff fouled Jokic at half-court. This made Jokic angry, and he proceeded to attack Morris, landing an elbow on Morris’ ribs, which caused him to fall and lay on the court in pain. A stretcher had to be called, but Morris walked to the locker room. Markieff and Jokic hadn’t faced off since, as Morris has only played 35 games since the 2021-22 season.
In a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, where both Markeiff and Marcus Morris Sr. were guests, they discussed the shot that Jokic took on Markieff. Marcus said that it was a sucker shot, and seeing his brother get hit upset Marcus. Marcus warned Jokic by saying he is going get his share, too.“Sucker shot. That’s what we call it in my hood,” Morris said of Jokic’s hit. “… Took a sucker shot. They call it snuck. He snuck me. It was a sucker shot. He’s gonna get his, though. Don’t trip.”
Marcus Morris could not go after Nikola Jokic and get revenge for his brother
After Nikola Jokic hit Markeiff Morris during a game between the Heat and the Nuggets, Marcus Morris was furious and wanted to exact revenge on the then-reigning MVP. The league had taken notice of Marcus’ anger and was monitoring whether he would try to do something to the Nuggets superstar. Marcus had to be careful about his actions on the court against the Nuggets after the incident.
He discussed the aftermath of the incident between Jokic and Markeiff on the ‘All the Smoke’ podcast, where he mentioned that the league was keeping an eye on him, so he couldn’t go after Jokic, which frustrated him. He said, “The crazy part was when we played against them [the Nuggets], they were all over me, as if they knew I was going to do something… So, I thought if I couldn’t take him [Jokic], I’m going to target one of his teammates, Austin Rivers… I had to do something…”
