The Miami Heat handed a blowout loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 7, defeating them by a 19-point margin. The 103-84 win for the Heat resulted in their qualification for the NBA Finals, where they’ll face off against the Denver Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets are a team that dominated their way into the playoffs and cruised past their rivals in the post-season. While the Heat are busy celebrating the Eastern Conference Champions title, a terrible matchup awaits them in the Finals.
The NBA Finals this year are bound to be a highly competitive matchup between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets. While on the one hand, the Nuggets franchise has made it to the NBA Finals for the very first time, the Heat are three-time champions. An experienced side going against the newbies isn’t how the NBA world looks at it, though.
Though newbies to the Finals, Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets will look forward to unleashing their wrath on the Heat. And the target of the attack is going to be the Heat’s Bam Adebayo. Adebayo’s matchup against Jokic is going to be a sight for the ages, as one is bound to get dominated, and many feel it won’t be Jokic.
Nikola Jokic is shooting 17-27 (63%) when defended by Bam Adebayo. And he is 68% against the Heat across the last two seasons, with the Nuggets being 4-0 in those games. These stats are just an indication of what awaits the Heat and Adebayo in the Finals. The Nuggets will be ready and the fans can only hope for a similar status for the Heat.

NBA Fans await a TERRIBLE matchup for Bam Adebayo and the Heat against Nikola Jokic
The Denver Nuggets ended their regular season as the #1 seed in the Western Conference. The team comfortably cruised past its rivals throughout the regular season. They managed to do the same in the playoffs as they dominated the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Phoenix Suns, and then the LA Lakers. What happened to the Lakers was a tragedy to be remembered for ages. A clean sweep at the hands of Jokic and the team wasn’t something fans expected from LeBron James and the Lakers.
Though, now the fans await a worse sight for the Miami Heat, who have somehow managed to make their way into the Finals. They have their work cut out for them as they have the formidable task at hand to defend Nikola Jokic. Look at some of the reactions on Twitter where fans spoke about Adebayo’s matchup against Jokic.
