Skip Bayless is known for being a provocateur. He has long been known for his opinion of LeBron James. He was talking about the incident recently between James and Ime Udoka. His long-known admiration for Michael Jordan has influenced his opinion over the years.

Discussing with Richard Sherman and Keyshawn Johnson on “Undisputed”, Bayless says; 

No one's calling him(Michael Jordan) the B-word

Bayless continued to discuss that head coaches in Jordan’s time would be too scared to say that word, in fear of Jordan dropping 100 points in revenge.

Skip Bayless went on to discuss that the world considers LeBron James a “Nice Guy”. To this, both Keyshawn Johnson and Richard Sherman reply that, even back during Michael Jordan‘s time, someone must have thrown the B-word at him. Normally, players and coaches in the NBA have to put up a friendly front. So, Jordan would not have retaliated even if someone had directed that insult towards him.

When Bayless asked Johnson what he would do, Keyshawn replied that he would have let the words play out between the two of them. As long as there is no physical touching, words are enough to sort these arguments out.

Skip Bayless does not appreciate LeBron James

Skip Bayless has always never appreciated LeBron James and his game. The simple reason is, that the comparison with Michael Jordan is inevitable, and Bayless is a Jordan fan. Bayless has time and again ridiculed James calling himself the GOAT. For Bayless, Jordan’s accomplishments as a player can never be surpassed by James.

Even if LeBron James has accomplished things Michael Jordan could never do, Bayless will always hold 6 out of 6 championships against anybody claiming to be the GOAT. So, in hindsight, it is quite normal for Bayless to be biased towards Jordan.

Fellow accomplished athletes Keyshawn Johnson and Richard Sherman dismissed Bayless’ claim that Jordan would have handled it differently. Athletes have to abide by disciplinary rules drawn by the league.
