In their clash today, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks may have dominated against the Atlanta Hawks, but Onyeka Okongwu had a highlight play that stood out throughout the day’s action, and fans all around the world reacted to it in an enthralling way.

The third-year big man Onyeka Okongwu has tremendous things ahead of him, according to the Atlanta Hawks. That much may have been clear from the willingness to choose the 6-foot-8 Okongwu out of USC with the sixth overall pick rather than more appealing out-of-college prospects. When the organization learned that Okongwu has the potential to play all-defense, their confidence in him was strengthened. But in today’s matchup vs the Bucks, it was found that he just doesn’t play defensive basketball, but also knows how to throw down nasty dunks.

The Hawks just exercised the 21-year-fourth-year old’s option, and whether it is now or after the upcoming season, Okongwu is expected to play a significant role in the Hawks’ future plans. With a player like Okongwu, though, there is no need to rush or force things because he still has a lot of opportunity to develop despite averaging respectable numbers in the preseason and the first few games of the regular season.
