Recently, the new point guard on the Los Angeles Lakers roster joined one of his former playoff rival, Draymond Green, to spill some beans on the league. He had a lot to say about his feelings on not winning the defensive player of the year award last season and Russell Westbrook.

He highlighted their relationship saying,“When Russ came through like that, bro, like, when he came through like that, it felt like a homie that I didn’t know I had, because you know, like … when it comes to, like, demeanor and attitude, like, me and Russ, we damn near the same people.”

Patrick Beverley has had a thing against everyone in the league, or at least everybody he played against. One of his biggest rivals on the court had involving Westbrook as well at one point. So when the Lakers signed the defensive mastermind, there were several questions raised surrounding their compatability.

Experts were questioning who the Lakers will be able to accommodate Beverley into their defensive schemes. Considering his history, he does a very good job at creating tension and throwing his opponents off track mentally.

But it seems like they do not have much to worry about as the Lakers showed good competitive spirit and winning potential with Russ settling in as a back up option offensively and Patrick Beverley focusing on perimeter shooting and defending.
