Los Angeles Lakers newest recruit Patrick Beverley is excited about pairing up with Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and other LA Lakers star players. Patrick talked in the favor of Westbrook LeBron and said that they can be dangerous when they click. Beverley was talking to the reporters where he revealed how he sees himself thriving alongside Westbrook.
Patrick mentioned, “I shoot a ton out of the right-corner wing, He posts on the left wing out of [timeouts], he likes to post on the right wing. I shoot 50% from the left-corner 3. It works. To have another ball handler out there with me, obviously with LeBron also, the more ball handlers the better you are as a team.”
Patrick’s above statement came after the revelation that Darvin Ham already has a plan set for the two of them. Also, Patrick Beverley is confident that they are a perfect match considering the different things they do on the court. Patrick showed his excitement about playing with LeBron James, and also the guard player thinks that the combination of Westbrook and Davis is a nightmare combination especially in the playoffs.
Beverley said, while talking about LeBron, “You’re talking about GOAT status, not only him, you’re talking about GOAT status all the way across. He further added, “We’re a matchup problem, we’re a matchup problem for anybody. In order for us to be a matchup problem, we have to get to the playoffs, and playoffs are matchups, and we’re a matchup problem for everybody, across the board, and we know that. And our business is just getting to the playoffs, and we get to the playoffs, the guys who, all that polarizing figure, now you guys take us where we gotta go, that’s the mindset.”

With the upcoming 2022-2023 season just round the corner, the LA Lakers are not yet successful in finding a new home for the star player, Russell Westbrook. Hence, it seems that the management has started making strategies keeping in mind the Beverley-Westbrook combo. The duo has a history of personal fights together but after Patrick joining Lakers, two were seen getting along together, laughing and chit-chatting. Russell even passed out towel to sweaty Patrick during his interview, the gesture which Beverley acknowledged. Only time will tell how much can this ‘bromance’ turn fruitful for the LA Lakers.
