In an Instagram post by ‘Bleacher Report,’ the source had confirmed that a new bench role for Westbrook is strongly being considered. Patrick Beverley commented on the same post below, stating, “Yal be reaching bro. S–t is really funny.” The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Patrick Beverley in a trade with the Utah Jazz and signed the duo of free agents Dennis Schröder and Lonnie Walker IV. Patrick and Westbrook being on the same team was an indigestible idea for many.
There will be fierce competition to find a spot in the top five. Players like Kendrick Nunn and Austin Reaves, who missed last season due to injury, are making a comeback this season. NBA legend LeBron James and star player Anthony Davis have already confirmed their spot in the starting line-up. The fight will now be for the remaining three places.
