Los Angeles Lakers player Patrick Beverley went down the memory to share an incident that involved his current teammate Russell Westbrook. This incident happened when both were rivals and played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets. Moreover, he received death threats after he collided with Russell in the match which caused an injury to him.

Patrick Beverley was talking on his own podcast where he quoted, “I had a ball boy threaten to kill me. I go back to Houston, Kevin McHale goes, ‘Hey buddy, just watch out for the media. Story has it Westbrook’s out.” He added, “I don’t even know what happened, right? They made the big story. … I get to OKC the next game — police officers in front. They put a police car in front of my house in Houston. I get to the hotel. I’m on the floor by myself, police guy at the door.”

Patrick went on to add, “I’m looking. I go out in the morning for tea or coffee, like a Starbucks, police guys with me. They passing out papers with a young guy’s face on it, like this big. He threatened to kill. The s*** was real.” Both Patrick and Russell were known as fierce rivals in the NBA league until the LA Lakers bought the two under one roof, then their bromance bloomed.

Patrick Beverley remains optimistic that the Los Angeles Lakers can turn things around

While talking in the latest episode of his podcast, LA Lakers player Patrick Beverley talked about his team making a comeback and turning things around. The Lakers are struggling and have recorded 3-10 start to the 2022-23 NBA season.

He had Dave Portnoy alongside him when he was asked about the Lakers being in a debacle. Pat went on to state that it is something everyone is familiar with, that last time the Boston Celtics won the championship they struggled a bit at the beginning. Hence, he is optimistic that even the Lakers will have the same road map ahead.

With Lebron James struggling with injuries, it will be a daunting task for them to better their record. They will has to look after the problem areas and find quick solutions to the same, even if there are lot of games left in the bank.
