“Take that b**ch right off the board,” Patrick Beverley reveals his NSFW encounter against Dillion Brooks following Bulls’ beatdown on the Grizzlies

Dillon Brooks is always in the headlines for his tough and aggressive style of play. With aggression comes the basketball instinct to talk trash. There are quite a few other players who fit into that category. When Brooks played against the Los Angeles Clippers, he came across one another guard known for the same. Russell Westbrook was seen yelling at Dillon Brooks while he was at the free-throw line as the two got into a bit of a tussle.

Following the scuffle, fans, and media picked up on Westbrook calling Brooks ‘trash.’ An event that went down as comical for many, the guard from Chicago Bulls decided to have some fun himself. Patrick Beverley spoke about his conversation with Brooks after a game between the Bulls and the Memphis Grizzlies on the Pat Bev podcast.

Revealing what Beverley told Brooks while he was going to the team bus, he said, “I catch Dillon Brooks out after we played. He’s walking towards the bus. I go ‘hey Dillon Brooks, ya’ll thought you had that one huh… Take that b*tch right off the board.'”. What could be called satire was followed by no response from Brooks, according to Pat Bev. “He ain’t say shit,” he said when asked about Brooks’ reply.

Patrick Beverley also went on to say that while all of this is part of the game, he respects Dillon Brooks. “He’s always been a solid dude playing hard. I respect that. I respect what he do,” the guard concluded.

Both the Chicago Bulls and the Memphis Grizzlies are walking into the postseason. While the Grizzlies are comfortably into the first round of the playoffs, the Bulls have an extra mile to reach there. Memphis stands at number two in the Western Conference and has clinched the Southwest Division. Chicago stands at number ten in the East and has slipped into clinching a Play-In spot.

It’s no argument that both Patrick Beverley and Dillon Brooks are going to be key players for their sides. Brooks was one of the Grizzlies’ front-running players last season. At the same time, Patrick Beverley has made his intentions to bring the people of Chicago a reason to celebrate. Needless to say that both these players are passionate about winning and would fancy their chances.

It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for both the players and their respective teams with the playoffs looming.
