Patrick Beverley might have not contested in the 2021-22 playoffs’ first-round but he surely got all the headlines secured after his highly controversial criticism on Chris Paul. While many adjudged the same as personal, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard was quick to come out for CP3’s defence. 

To those who are not aware, Beverley and Chris Paul haven’t like one-another since entering the NBA and perhaps their hatred has only increased while locking horns against one another.

Catching the attention of the Minnesota Timberwolves guard can never be a good idea on social media, but the same was done by Damian Lillard. As a response to which the former went onto openly challenge Lillard.

Patrick Beverley gets into a tussle with Damian Lillard 

Listening to Bev’s harsh words for CP3, Damian Lillard stated on Twitter, “Bra on TV acting like his word law. Speaking on private convos and praying on mfs downfall. This weird behavior smh.. I ain’t got a horse in the race.” 

While Chris Paul has yet to come out and state his opinion on this matter. Stars like Lillard and Matt Barnes have come out to visibly make their stand clear. And as we know, Beverley surely doesn’t like standing all alone. Be it on-court, or perhaps in the studio. 

Dame Dolla is not happy with what he witnessed. And apparently neither did Patrick Beverley, because he gave the Blazers star a little bit of a challenge with his response. That being said, whether he is asking the man to simply get on a call with him, or if it’s to settle this face to face, we aren’t sure. 

It is indeed safe to say that Patrick Beverley is no less than a mad dog, who frames his opponents one by one. Has Lillard become the latest player to get into the bad-books of the Timberwolves guard? Hopefully the former will let us know sooner rather than later.
