Paul George drops HUGE HINT about Russell Westbrook’s future with Clippers
Paul George wants Westbrook to continue balling with the Clippers.

Paul George and Russell Westbrook
After a tough Game 5 loss against the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Clippers have been eliminated from the playoffs. They started off the series with a win in Phoenix, though they couldn’t hold the Sus’ scorers off for the rest of the series. Kawhi Leonard suffered a knee injury in Game 1 of the series, though he managed to play Game 2. Leonard did not return after that, as Russell Westbrook then backed the team.
Westbrook and company did all they could in the next three games. They had games that were pretty close, though, in the end, the Clippers were indeed shorthanded. The Clippers had played the Suns in the Conference Finals in the 2021 postseason. This year with the addition of a former MVP, the team had their two stars, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, sit out. With another unsuccessful season for Westbrook as well as the team, there may be questions about Russ’ future with the Clippers.
Ahead of Game 5, Paul George stated his honest opinions on Russ. Westbrook had performed greatly in the absence of the All-Stars and received praise for backing the team when needed. “I just think he’s the leader that we need at the point guard position going forward and would love to have him back.”, said George. These words were definitely a huge indicator that Russ might have plans to leave the city of Los Angeles.
Russell Westbrook was traded to the Clippers after playing for the Los Angeles Lakers for a brief amount of time. After a poor season with the Lakers, Russ had a great time playing for his new team, the Clippers. The Clippers can only be a good fit if the stars continue to stay healthy throughout the season. The last time PG13 and Kawhi were on the floor together in the postseason was in the 2020 postseason when both players were healthy. The team is yet to check its potential with all the stars in line during the postseason.
Russell Westbrook needs a championship on his resume

Westbrook is one of the most dominant point guards to ever play. Having won an MVP award, setting the record for most triple-doubles in a season, and a lot more, Russ is missing a ring on his resume. He will enter his 16th season this fall with only one Finals appearance. For a player like Russ, a championship is what’s been missing, and for his next season, he should move accordingly. With the Clippers team looking injury-prone, he may decide to move to a different city next season.
This has been yet another disappointing season for the Clippers fans. The team has to have its stars healthy to see progress. Do you think Westbrook should join forces with another team next season? Let us know in the comments.
