“Skip Bayless is a threat to NBA” Paul George joins forces with Russell Westbrook to pin-point ‘REAL SHIT’ Bayless
Russell Westbrook is unnecessarily a massive target for hate these days. His days playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder were some the best seasons out of the him. There he became the person that he is known as, that is Mr. Triple-Double. Unfortunately, the franchise and the player mutually agreed to part ways in 2018 as Russ was in search of a ring and OKC was planning to rebuild without him.
After three straight season of averaging a triple-double, the player would find himself paired up with James Harden at Houston. The former MVP would admit not wanting to play alongside Harden and shift his work to Washington where he became the all-time leader in triple-doubles recorded. He averaged 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 11.7 assists per game.
Russell Westbrook gets hated at Los Angeles for consistent let downs
Russell Westbrook’s first season with the Los Angeles Lakers was extremely saddening. He averaged only 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game which was his lowest statistics since 2009. He struggle to fit in as leader in certain situations, lack the athleticism he is known for and was a walking turnover. Russ would later admit to the media that he never felt himself on the roster.
He also pointed out the fact that LeBron James saying, “Let Russ, be Russ,” were not genuine words coming out from his teammate. Westbrook still has a deal to opt-in worth $47 million through the 2022-23 season. Although he is yet to accept this deal from the Lakers organization, new acquired head coach Darvin Ham and himself have shown tremendous interest in working together.
Paul George sides with Russell Westbrook over Skip Bayless’ trolling
Skip Bayless once again took his opportunity to troll Russell Westbrook over the underwhelming season. After the Lakers drafted their second round pick he tweeted, “Lakers acquired 2nd-round pick, take Michigan State’s Max Christie, who shot only 32% from 3 last season. Perfect! He’ll fit right in with LeBron and Westbrick.”
The nickname “Westbrick” was never appreciated by Russ or his family. He clapped back saying,”Yoooo… watch you mouth. Don’t say anything here you wouldn’t say to my face.” Paul George also came to defend his friend Westbrook reposting the tweet on his Instagram story captioned, “Real sh*t.” George has also been a victim the Bayless’ trolling because of the bubble season in 2020 when he failed to lead the Clippers in the playoffs.
