In light of recent events, LA Clippers star Paul George voiced his views on his teammate Russell Westbrook, following the recent NBA rankings that were released. George voiced his opinion in strong support of Westbrook, asserting that for the player he is today and the game he plays, Russell Westbrook belongs in the top 20–25 players in the league, despite being ranked 94th on the NBA’s top 100 list.

Russell, who is known for his explosive game style and impressive play-making skills, was ranked 94th on the list, with recent rookies placed ahead of him in the rankings. The fact that he has a historic triple-double achievement and was also awarded the Most Valuable Player award during his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder doesn’t justify the rankings.

I know what players can do, how good they are and where they rank. Russ is top 20-25 easy, he’s still a Triple-Double. He proved that he can be the #1 option these past playoffs, he proved he can still defend at a high level, he proved he can still dominate the game. There’s not 24 other guys that can play both ends like Russ.

Getting back to myself would be averaging 21/11/12… Ain’t too many people did that but myself and somebody else. And I’m the only one that did it 4 times.

Paul George reacts to Clippers new roster

LA Clippers star Paul George recently shared his views on the team’s new lineup for the upcoming regular season. With the James Harden trade rumors, the team decided to put the 76ers’ top trade target in the Clippers, Terence Mann, in the fifth spot in the starting lineup, which is right next to Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Ivica Zubac.

It's great that Terance is rewarded for being a professional, for being mature at his age. Coming in, doing what he's supposed to do, having the work ethic, being coachable, just being a sponge under so many people that he's played with.
George said when asked about this in a media interaction

He further added:

Now it's preparation meeting the opportunity. Now it's his time to be put in that lineup. He deserves it, he worked his butt off for it. I think that's what you - from an organizational standpoint, it's something the other guys can look towards.

With that being said, the team is excited and is looking forward to the regular season with this big move. Placing Mann in the starting lineup indicates the player’s worth and how valuable he is to the team’s roster amidst the James Harden trade situation.
