McDaniels, a 6’9″ forward, has been quietly putting up solid numbers in his second season in the league. He’s averaging 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and two assists per game on 51% shooting. He’s also been showing off his defensive skills, holding his own on that end of the court.

“One of the guys that are ultra talented, that isn’t probably on everybody’s radar, is Jaden McDaniels in Minnesota,” George said. “He got game. Great defender, good feet, quick hands.” It’s clear that George is a big fan of McDaniels’ game owing to the young gun’s versatility on the court.

While McDaniels may not be a household name, George sees potential in the young player. However, the state of the Timberwolves as an organization could be more promising. The team is seventh in the Western Conference standings with a 35-34 record.

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels could play a bigger role in the team’s future than initially anticipated, according to reports. The Wolves’ title aspirations were dampened after a poor start to the season following the acquisition of Rudy Gobert in the summer.

As a result, there are rumors that the team could start afresh and potentially trade their star player, Karl-Anthony Towns. Timberwolves insider Jon Krawczynski spoke about the possibility on a recent episode of the Lowe Post podcast.

“Teams are already talking about it…if the bottom falls out of this thing and they go forward that way, there are going to be teams knocking on the door,” Krawczynski said.

It remains to be seen how the Timberwolves will navigate the trade rumors surrounding Towns, but McDaniels’ potential is undeniable. The team will undoubtedly be hoping that he can continue to develop and become an integral part of their future plans.
