The Denver Nuggets have dominated the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Playing at home, the Nuggets have held on to their fortress as they won both opening games. The final stages of the NBA tend to bring many guests other than fans to the games. Peyton Manning visited Game 2 between the Lakers and the Nuggets. Manning is a former NFL quarterback who played for the Denver Broncos.
Making his presence at the Ball Arena, fans suspected Manning was rooting for the home side. However, his reaction after Denver’s win suggested otherwise. After the Lakers blew a healthy lead to lose the game, Manning looked rather disappointed. Although LeBron James‘ struggles did shock many, Peyton Manning looking unhappy after a Denver win was quite surprising in itself.
The Los Angeles Lakers now have their back up against the wall as they trail the series 2-0. Heading into Game 3, LeBron James would look to tighten the screws of his gameplay. The NBA veteran had a rather disappointing Game 2 as he struggled to shoot the ball from the three-point line. Moreover, LA failed to keep a firm grip on their 11-point lead as Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic walked away after stealing a win. The score at the end of regulation was 103-108.

NBA Twitter reacts to Peyton Manning’s disappointment with a Lakers loss
There’s no doubt that fans are going frenzy over Peyton Manning’s reaction to a Lakers loss. Twitter has a reputation for spawning all kinds of comments from fans. After Manning’s serious demeanor, many fans are mocking the former quarterback, saying he had bet money on LeBron James and a Lakers win. Here are a few reactions:
The Los Angeles Lakers will now go back to host the Nuggets for Games 3 and 4. James and Co. have been exceptional playing at home. The Lakers have protected their home court commendably well, as they have a 100% win record in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
However, Denver has been in phenomenal touch and has been firing really well as a unit. They would like to pick up at least one win on the road before they come back home if the Lakers manage to force Game 5. LA, on the other hand, would like to push to tie the series 2-2.
