“They’re gonna eat that motherf*cker alive” Philadelphia comedian believes Kevin Durant lacks mental toughness to represent Sixers
Clint Coley and Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant has been a regular name in the NBA headlines since he requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets organization. He also gave an ultimatum to the organization in a meeting with owner Joe Tsai in London of either riding with him or the Head Coach Steve Nash and General Manager Sean Marks. The Nets haven’t made any decision publically yet but are favoring the coaching staff and management of the team as they are testing Kevin Durant in the market but so far haven’t been able to get any satisfying deal. Recently, some reports claimed that KD is willing to play with James Harden again after they spent some wholesome time together in London during a Travis Scott concert. So even the Philadelphia 76ers are listed on his list of teams to get traded to.
Kevin Durant to the Philadelphia 76ers will shake up the entire league if the team is able to land him. As KD hooping alongside James Harden and Joel Embiid is a secured trip to a deep run in the post-season but again winning it all can’t be claimed, said or predicted right now. As the league is tough and the eastern conference has got too many contenders too. But a native comedian from Philadelphia believes Kevin Durant isn’t ready or isn’t in the correct mind-space to play for the Sixers. And, the reason behind it was the sweet fans and their hospitality which made Ben Simmons leave with some free mental health issues.
Comedian Clint Coley believes Kevin Durant wouldn’t last with Philadelphia Sixers
Recently, in an interview with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Clint Coley discussed the Kevin Durant situation and the rumors of Sixers landing him on the roster. He was doubtful for the addition but knew it’s a great one as he quoted: “His talent is unmatched. The greatest scorer in basketball history…but he don’t have the mental toughness to play in Philly. They gonna eat that muthaf**ker alive if he don’t perform. You thought Oklahoma City was bad?…GSW. The guys at the arena, they’re ruthless, dawg. So, would I want him? Absolutely. But he has to be in the right mental space to be able to block out the bad games…They don’t want to include Maxey. But he ain’t stopping Giannis… I love Maxey, he’s got heart. But if he’s included in the trade package, oh well. To me, the Bucks and Giannis, that’s who you need to go through. And I’m gonna be honest with you, it ain’t Maxey. You need Kevin Durant.”
Clint Coley said most of the things which were facts and also focused on the importance of including Maxey in the package. Philadelphia Sixers are surely an option for Kevin Durant but at the end of the day, it isn’t him deciding where he goes. As the Nets would make sure they get the best deal in exchange for him as they have already given up a lot of their future in building a super-team which didn’t work at all and now has everyone leaving or on the wheels. So still nothing can be said or claimed about KD’s future in the league. But some of the front runners to acquire him are Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns and the Sixers too.
