“I know a heroin a****t when I see one” – Rapper Cam’ron claims former Heat star Mario Chalmers is using potentially lethal drugs
Mario Chalmers is a household name in Miami, Florida thanks to his contributions to the Heat. During his NBA career, Mario Chalmers played for several teams, including the Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, and Sacramento Kings. In total, he played 703 regular season games and averaged 8.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Chalmers was also a solid three-point shooter, making 1.4 three-pointers per game at a 35.5% clip.
Recently, Chalmers took a dig at former teammate LeBron James saying “nobody was scared of him.” While players like JJ Reddick came out in LeBron’s defense, former rapper Cam’ron threw an open challenge at Chalmers saying he could beat him in a 1v1 on a 10-day notice. Chalmers responded to the challenge through a video he recorded in a dark space. Cam’ron responded to the video saying, “I know life threw you a few curveballs, but, yo, you can’t start that s**t, bro, and if we play, you gotta take a drug test. I’m like Judge Mathis with that heroin s**t. I know a heroin a****t when I see one. Yo, bro, I’m concerned, and if we play, you have to take a mandatory drug test before, during, and after the game.”
Mario Chalmers last played in the NBA for the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2017-2018 season. After that, he played for the Virtus Bologna team in Italy during the 2018-2019 season. He then returned to the United States and played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the G League affiliate of the Miami Heat, during the 2019-2020 season. After signing multiple short-term contracts with various teams in Greece, Puerto Rico and the G-League, Chalmers most recently signed with Zamboanga Valientes in the ASEAN Basketball League in January 2023.
