REPORT: Lakers discussed a deal with Pistons including Bojan Bogdanović and Nerlens Noel
Reports claim Lakers have Bojan Bogdanović and Nerlens Noel listed as players to target.
According to reports, the Los Angeles Lakers have expressed interest in a trade including Bojan Bogdanovic and Nerlens Noel from the Detroit Pistons. Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix and Howard Beck examined prospective NBA deals and talked about how doing so would at least give the Lakers a chance to make a respectable postseason run.
“Maybe that will be the case,” Beck said. “I’ve heard the Lakers and Pistons have discussed a deal that would include both Bogdanović and Nerlens Noel. Since the Pistons are demanding draft assets in any deal for Bogdanović, it’s sort of a given that the Lakers would have to surrender a first-round pick to make a deal.“
Further Beck added “Maybe they make a second deal to fortify the rotation further. Will they be willing to trade both picks that are currently trade-eligible? The sense around the league is they won’t. But we’ll see.”
In April, Bogdanovic will turn 34. He joined the NBA in 2014 after three seasons spent competing abroad in Turkey. The 6-foot-7 forward has played for five different teams in the NBA and is in his debut year with the Pistons. This season, Bogdanovic is averaging a career-high 21.2 points per game as well as 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per match.
The Lakers know that LeBron James needs help and it’s high time for them to bring someone in. But at the same time, they aren’t willing to give up their future, especially, the first-round draft picks. There are also reports which claim that Lakers are selling LeBron James with dreams of getting Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard.
Lakers LeBron James, 38, claims that he feels better now than he did at the age of 18
LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers said he feels better now than when he started his NBA career around 20 years ago after an incredible 47-point performance on his 38th birthday. After the Lakers’ victory James talked about how motivated he still feels in his 20th NBA season.
“I feel better than [he felt at] 18,” James said. “I didn’t know what I could become at 18. But I just knew if I continued to put in the work, I continued to be true to the game, then I could be one of the greatest players to ever play this game. I just always believed that. …“There are times when I’m on the floor where I do feel like a kid again. That’s for sure.”
The Lakers can’t afford to lose any more ground as they are already struggling to remain in the running for a spot in the league’s play-in tournament. James will so frequently need to put in significant effort, which is a difficult task for any athlete. James, however, seems to be finding the elixir of youth once more, and he will keep on performing regardless of how the Lakers are doing. The front office bringing some help for King can increase their chances on a great level. The rumors and reports hint at Bojan Bogdanović and Nerlens Noel. But those aren’t just the names on the list for the Lakers to bring in and play some winning ball.
