“This n***a sucks, he’s not good, he’s going to China” – Rockets star reveals to Paul George how TOXIC NBA Twitter is

Jalen Green and Paul George

Podcast P with Paul George, hosted by PG13 himself, has seen several players come to his show and speak about the game of basketball. But in his day and age, the game extends beyond the court and reaches places like Twitter. Fans across the world closely watch games and players and react accordingly. The Houston Rockets’ Jalen Green had a lot to speak about the same as he appeared on the Podcast.

Jalen Green and Paul George sat down to talk about NBA Twitter and how toxic it can be at times. George asked, “You mentioned being on Twitter. Do you feed onto… because it is a slippery slope being on Twitter.” Host Dallas Rutherford then went on to ask a simple yet important question, as he said, “any burners.” To which Green replied, “I got a couple of burners.”

Green then proceeded to talk about how NBA Twitter treats him differently each time. He said, “Going on Twitter after the game, is like either go ‘okay yeah I got off tonight.’ Or it’s like damn, everybody’s on my fu****g head. Like, they’ll be cool with you, talk/praise you all that… have a bad game, ‘this ni**a sucks.’ ‘he’s not good.’ ‘he’s going to China’. Like I’m like ‘bro God Damn!’”

This might not have come as a surprise for Green, who played 76 games this season, and the Rockets finished #14 on the table. The Houston Rockets had a terrible season, and the likes of Green and other players might’ve had a worse time on Twitter.

The Houston Rockets are having an organization revamp this season, with the likes of Ime Udoka taking over the helm. Besides that, the Rockets also plan on bringing back their ex-player, James Harden, back to their squad. Harden, who recently suffered a brutal defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, might already be eyeing the upcoming offseason.

The former MVP will receive a range of offers this offseason. At the same time, the Philadelphia 76ers are restricted from providing him nothing more than $210.1 million considering NBA restrictions; however, other teams are not. Harden is rumored to receive offers exceeding $200 million, and the Rockets will be right after him.

Under the leadership of Udoka, with Jalen Green finding his groove as a star, and with the likes of Harden joining the squad, the Rockets can hope for a comeback season. The team which finished second last on the table this season has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Just like Green mentioned, NBA Twitter was similarly “welcoming” to the news of Udoka and Harden joining as well.

NBA Twitter doesn’t differentiate as every player faces the wrath of it, someday or the other.
