One of the best players of this generation, Russell Westbrook has had a heartwarming redemption in recent months. At the LA Lakers, he was often criticized for his performances, and seen as one of the biggest reasons behind his team’s failures. For the LA Clippers, he has emerged to be a hero of sorts.

Surrounded by three bonafide superstars, Westbrook graciously decided to come off the bench for his new team, a move that has worked out very well for the team. They are 3rd in the Western Conference despite a disastrous start, and now one of the biggest contenders for the title.

Things have been so blissful for Russ that recently, after the game against the Detroit Pistons, he had heartwarming interactions with a fan from Michigan. The young fan could be seen pulling out basically all the jerseys that Westbrook has had, over his illustrious career.

A video has been going viral of the interaction on Twitter. Westbrook could be heard genuinely amazed with the youngster and saw him pull out all the jerseys that he had worn. He concluded by wishing the youngster luck, after asking him whether he was from Michigan, something he responded to with an affirmative.

Fans were left stunned by the kind of love Russell Westbrook received. They claimed that they had no idea the player was loved this much, something he should feel lucky to have had in his career. Others claimed that the fan in question was crazy enough to have a Russell Westbrook account on Twitter as well.
