Despite all the trouble, he opted in for a one year extension worth $47 million.
Since the off season, the Lakers have made changes including hiring of head coach Darvin Ham. The newly appointed coach has been extremely motivated to help the franchise regain their pride. Russell Westbrook has done some questionable things over the last few weeks that may have inadvertently caught him in drama. A fan account on Twitter LakeShowYo shared proof of the player liking a tweet which said,“Lakers win a championship and what they do? Blow up the entire team. Lakers need LeBron to resign and what does owner Jeanie Buss do? Comes out says Jordan is the GOAT.”
Obviously Russ liking the both would not have meant much as he could have just acknowledged the humor aspect of it.
