Russell Westbrook, former MVP and NBA superstar known for his on-court intensity and athleticism, recently presented a rare and candid perspective on his personal life during a guest appearance on his wife Nina Westbrook’s podcast, where he unequivocally endorsed post-game s*x, choosing it over pre-game engagements.
In a segment of the podcast, ‘This Or That’ game, Westbrook was posed with the choice between pre-game and post-game activities, including intimate moments. Westbrook’s candid response came when he expressed a preference for post-game s*x.
Westbrook hilariously described, “Pre-game, that doesn’t benefit me. Nah, post-game, it’s like celebratory or like a cheer-up. I go to sleep feeling better about myself.” His wife, Nina, was surprised with her husband’s answer and his views on it.
Westbrook’s rationale for favoring post-game intimacy appears to be rooted in a simple yet positive outlook. His belief is that the outcome can only yield a positive result, regardless of whether his team emerges victorious or gets defeated.
Westbrook has been in the NBA since 2008. He was awarded as the league’s MVP in the 2016-17 season. He now plays as a point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers.
12 years old Russel Westbrook missed an opportunity to meet Michael Jordan
During the Michael Jordan camp, as most kids eagerly lined up to get an autograph from the NBA legend Michael Jordan, a 12-year-old kid named Russell Westbrook found himself engrossed in a pickup game.
Despite his coach’s insistence, urging him to join the line, Westbrook refused to halt the game, ultimately missing his opportunity to meet Jordan. This hilarious story resurfaced during Westbrook’s appearance on the Jennifer Hudson show.

Westbrook stated, “I was at a Michael Jordan basketball camp. I was 11,12 years old. At the end of the camp, each kid got one signed item from Michael Jordan. Everybody was standing in the line but at the time I was playing a little pickup game so my coach kept saying, hurry up it’s your time. I was like no, I am playing my pickup game. I am not coming out of line. So, long story short, I played my pickup game but I didn’t get a signed Michael Jordan item. Fast forward in 2000, he signed me as an athlete. I have been with the Jordan brand since and I am still under the Jordan brand.”
This event offers a unique perspective on Westbrook’s early years, highlighting his unshakeable dedication to the game of basketball even when faced with the chance to meet his childhood idol, Michael Jordan.
