LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers ended 2022 with a decisive win over the Atlanta Hawks. James delivered one of his best career performances in the game. As he scored 47 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assist. He was just one assist short a triple-double. With the win Lakers improved to 15-21 but continue to stand 13th in the Western Conference as they await their star player Anthony Davis’ return to action. Anthony Davis is currently sitting out due to his right foot injury.
James played Madden at home to ring in the New Year, and Savannah James made a funny video of it even though she wasn’t happy about it. Fans would anticipate LeBron James to attend the trendiest social event on a holiday like New Year’s Eve. Nearly everyone celebrates the new year with parties and family time, but LeBron James is just unique. In the hilarious video, Savannah James can be heard asking LeBron, “Is this how you’re making me bring in the new year?”
The Lakers star responds to her by saying, “Playing Madden? I mean listen, I’ve been in Atlanta all weekend, I had my birthday celebration. I had a basketball game. We celebrated my birthday with you, mom. … The Ohio State crushing loss. So I gotta get it done!” If James had given it more attention than he did basketball, he may have succeeded in the NFL in some capacity (perhaps as a wide receiver). His NFL potential was so great that owner Jerry Jones extended an invitation for him to sign with the Dallas Cowboys in 2011 during the NBA lockout season.
Of course, Bron declined, but not before it was made very plain that the 6’8″, 250-pound guy could certainly play football at the top level if he so desired. It is therefore understandable why he is so hooked with playing Madden.

LeBron James celebrated his birthday with season-best performance against Hawks
On his 38th birthday, LeBron James scored a season-high 47 points, and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 130-121 in front of a sold-out crowd at State Farm Arena. 18-time All-Star and four-time NBA MVP LeBron James ended the game with 10 rebounds and 9 assists.
In the second quarter, he scored 16, in the third, 13, and in the fourth, he scored 16. James had a 27.8 average to start the game and was ninth in scoring. Losing three straight games, the Hawks (17-19) wasted a 15-point lead which led them to lose the fixture against the Lakers.
