“Comes off as being this great philosopher” Shannon Sharpe condemns Kyrie Irving for his comments on Steve Nash

Shannon Sharp on Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Irving is looking to get his image back on track. However, his outspoken and straightforward attitude is keeping him in the bad books of some fans and critics. He always has been very cynical about Steve Nash and even made bold claims related to his appointment as Head Coach. But on the latest episode of ‘the Shop’, Kyrie commented “I’ve done some quirky [expletive], and I have dealt with vilification for that.”
Taking those topics in hand, Shannon Sharp brutally thrashes Kyrie for his views. He sounded off his disapproval of Kyrie’s comments – mentioning comments on Steve Nash as an example. In “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed,” show, Shannon Sharpe talked about some senses in Kyrie’s mind.

Accepting his smartness on the court, Shannon even mentioned that Kyrie is not as smart as he thinks he is. Shannon also uses the opportunity to point-out Kyrie accepting his mistakes to “Uncle drew supporters”.
Shannon Sharp uses comments from Kyrie Irving against the player himself.

Kyrie Irving, after facing fire for 2 seasons, came out on the Shop show, and publically accepted that he had done some mistakes in the past and was targeted for the same. His acceptance was very much genuine and looked straight from the heart.
Shannon Sharp congratulated Kyrie for this “enlightenment” and said, “I think this is an epiphany or metamorphosis he’s going through that he’s realized he made some mistakes, he’s said some things, possibly done some things. And for him to come out and admit it, I think that’s huge for him.”
But then he went on to thrash former NBA Champion, reminding him that he should not act smart. Retired NFL Star commented, “Sometimes, going to Duke, guys believe that they’re smarter than they actually are, and sometimes Kyrie comes off as being this great philosopher, he comes off as like he’s the smartest guy in the room.”
Sharp not letting Kyrie off the hook reminded him of his comments in 2020 about not needing a head coach – during Steve Nash’s appointment and added that it was a rather unnecessary comment that “young” Kyrie made. The 54-year-old analyst continued firing, this time on Kyrie’s supporters, who condemned him when he was criticizing Kyrie for his gameplay or behavior
Sharp said, “Kyrie had a lot of defenders, that have defended (Kyrie for his behavior), Now you heard what Kyrie said, that he is been quirking and he has made some mistakes in public and in private, there nothing long anything for you to defend in his behavior, because he is telling you. I am not making this up.”
Well, Kyrie’s sort of apology might have been taken differently by Shannon, but he made some valuable points in his analysis. Maybe Kyrie will keep some control over his comments or decision-making to keep him safe from media outrage.
Kyrie Irving is may be looking for a strong 2023 season, to set things straight.

When Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden joined forces in Brooklyn, the team was, without a doubt, seen as the frontrunner to win the NBA title. Injuries, personal choices, and dissonance between Irving, Durant, and the front office put Brooklyn on a path that ended in a first-round sweep last season.
Despite going through a protracted rough patch, the Brooklyn Nets are finally in a position where all their star players are primed to start the 2022-23 season. More importantly, they have the incentive to do so.
Both Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving will have something to prove. A severe amount of vitriol has been thrown at both of them, with criticisms ranging from their on-court decisions to their personal lives. Amid all the noise, it is easy to forget how good they are as players.
Irving is a phenomenal All-Star player, while Simmons is a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate. Nets have 3 Rookie of the year award winners, who have proved themselves on the big stage. On paper, Brooklyn Nets’ roster looks offensively fiery and balanced on the defensive end. With returning Joe Harris; players like Royce O’Neale, T.J. Warren, Markieff Morris, Seth Curry, and Cameron Johnson part of the bench, the Nets have depth in their team.
The Nets are a lot more balanced than last season, and can again be a team to watch provided they are healthy and have good team chemistry.
