“Are you that dog or not” Shannon Sharpe makes final plea to Anthony Davis to step up
Shannon Sharpe and Anthony Davis
NBA analyst Shannon Sharpe makes a final request to Los Angeles Lakers star player Anthony Davis to step up and replicate his New Orleans form for the lakers team. Anthony Davis has struggled to avoid injuries and played fewer games for his team for the last two seasons. In the recent episode of ‘Undisputed,’ Shannon Sharpe said that AD needs a performance this year that will silence his critiques.
Shannon Sharpe said, “AD are you that dog or not. Are you Top 75 or not? All these mantras sound good but you better win some ballgames.” The Lakers will want AD to stay fit and share some of NBA great LeBron James’ workload as he will be playing his 20th NBA season. The Lakers had a disastrous last season and will be eyeing replicating their champion-winning performance.
The Lakers have tried to build a strong roster by adding Patrick Beverley and other players, but Anthony Davis is still a crucial player. If AD gets going, the Lakers will have a serious chance of lifting the title this year. But they will have to overcome the hurdle of a tough Western Conference Finals.

Anthony Davis believes the current playing five is similar to the 2020 title winning side
Los Angeles Lakers star forward Anthony Davis said that the playing five proposed by the new head coach Darvin Ham is identical to the one he played with when the Lakers won the 2020 championship. Anthony Davis was speaking with Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register during a team practice session where Davis talked about the parallels between this new Lakers lineup and the 2019-20 championship season’s starting five.
Throughout training camp thus far, Ham has been starting Russell Westbrook at point guard, Kendrick Nunn at shooting guard, LeBron James at small forward, Davis at power forward, and Damian Jones at the center. It will be interesting to see whether this line-up remains constant when the season begins. The Los Angeles Lakers start their campaign against current title holders Golden State Warriors on 18th Oct.
