The Warriors vs Grizzlies match-up has been a battle both on the court and off the court. But Game 4 was on a different tone. The game started with a bad note of Ja not playing in the game. Despite the anticipated Warrior’s win, the win seemed dull. The big 3 in Golden State shot poorly and made little impact from their lethal 3 point shot.

Warriors trailed the Grizzlies by more than 10 points during the start of 4th quarter. Memphis found their rhythm, in the absence of Ja Morant and locked the Warriors’ offence. It was not until the last 5 minutes of the game that the Warriors offence and defense start to light up and show its true colors.

The Warriors faced quite the criticism for their performance in Game 4 against the Grizzlies. Many deem to be casual. Warriors overlooked the raw talent in the other other Grizzlies. The Ja Morant absence was patched up by other young bloods of the team. The message by the Grizzlies was very clear, they are not going to down easily.

While many threw heat at Golden State, Shannon Sharpe looked at the other side of the game. The side that was overlooked by many. The Warriors managed to bag the win. And in a true Golden State fashion they came alive in the second half of the game, and pulled off moves that had no answers. The Grizzlies failed to lock those moves, which later added up to wins.

I gave them a 9 for this performance, because it was a great 4th quarter comeback. I understand the Grizzlies were playing without Ja, but Steph showed you who he was in that 4th quarter.”, said Sharpe in his show ‘Undisputed’.

Stephen Curry did have a big part to play in the win. Despite his poor start to the game, he came alive in the 4th quarter and dropped clutch shots. He even took the baton and carried the ball forward, made plays and fetched fouls when he could not find a bucket. The Curry spell, added with the Porter bombs and Klay, Draymond garnishing, served Warriors the 3-1 lead in the series.

The Warriors might have bagged a third win and might be a win away from Western Conference Finals, but the path their would not be easy, especially when the next game will be a closeout game lined up in Memphis.
