Beverly and Westbrook have been inseparable for many years in terms of their feud but if they have to play together, they’ll have to work out their differences. Shaquille O’Neal has clashed with many individuals during and after his NBA career, so he understands how this works and what may happen to Russ and Bev to bury the hatchet and end this long-running feud.

Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley are suddenly teammates after an almost decade-long feud. This seems like a good moment to go into how this all started and everything that happened between these two. Westbrook suffered a season-ending knee injury in the first round of the 2013 playoffs when Beverley collided with him in an attempt to steal the ball during the 2012-13 season. Russ was enraged, and a bitter feud had begun.
Beverley attempted to swat the ball out of Westbrook’s hands during their next meeting, while Russ motioned for a timeout. Westbrook was enraged once more, and Beverley was issued a technical. Later in their 2018 season Westbrook used his “rock-the-baby” celebration several times after scoring against Beverley, who afterwards dived for a loose ball and collided with Westbrook’s legs. Unsurprisingly, a heated argument ensued.
Later Russell Westbrook was accused of damaging Patrick Beverley’s career after the former made comments on him during a talk show, Beverley too didn’t stay quiet as he unforgivably trolled Russell after his first brutal season in LA. Shaq, on the other hand, believes they will work things out in the locker room. On “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” he indicated they’d be fine, referencing how he reconciled with a player with whom he once had a falling out.
“I had beef with Alonzo Mourning. And then when he came to the Miami Heat, I had to sit around and apologize. I said ‘You know what Alonzo? I was a hypocrite.’ … Alonzo Mourning is a great dude. But like, we never talked to each other because he’ll make that face, I’ll make that face. “… He came back in Miami and helped me with my fourth championship. … Once he got in that locker room. I was like, ‘Man this dude is really really cool.’ … So, when they get in the locker room. If we know Russ is still happy and you know happy to be there and all that good stuff, they should be all right.”
Amid reports of Patrick Beverley joining Lakers came the rumours of this being a sign that Westbrook was soon going to be traded but should that not happen it all comes down to coach Darwin Ham who will have to make sure the team is united in its efforts for the championship and Lebron and Anthony Davis in the team , Lakers cannot be ignored this year for sure.
