Nikola Jokic proved why he’s the best player in the league with a buzzer-beater three-pointer in the fourth quarter. Jokic produced the shot with the game tied at 127 for the Denver Nuggets during last night’s away game against the Golden State Warriors. The Nuggets eventually prevailed 130-127 in what was the most thrilling game of basketball.

Jokic scored 34 points, had 9 rebounds, and created 10 assists. He also had 13/16 field goals made and went 2/2 from behind the arc. Fellow superstar Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors ended the game with 30 points, four rebounds, and six assists. He had an 11/23 field goal efficiency and went 5/12 from the three-point mark.

After the game, Shaq, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson gathered on TNT’s Inside the NBA. They showered him with praise for his heroics on the night. Co-host Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith surprised everyone by effortlessly speaking Serbian. The Joker, taken aback by Kenny’s language skills, playfully threw shade at fellow co-host Shaquille O’Neal. Earlier, Shaq had attempted to converse in the reigning MVP’s native language but didn’t quite succeed.

As the NBA on TNT crew was signing off with the Joker, Shaq once again tried to address the player in Serbian. Unfortunately for the big man, he again mistook Jokic’s native language for Russian. Jokic on hearing this went from being disappointed to bursting into laughter, who then responded to Shaq saying,

No it’s not Shaq. Come on brother, it’s the second time.

Shaq immediately realized his mistake, and was quick to apologize.

Ohh that's right. That's Russian. I am sorry.

Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Jamal Murray combine for 89 points against the Warriors

The Denver Nuggets visited the Golden 1 Center and returned with a hard-fought victory over the Golden State Warriors. They had to overcome an 18-point gap at some point in the fourth and final quarter of the game.

The victory was a result of an amazing defensive performance by the Nuggets to limit the Dubs’ shooting. And also down to the performances of Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Jamal Murray. Jokic scored 34 points, Gordon 30 points, nine rebounds, and two assists while Murray had 25 points, two rebounds, and six assists.

The win solidified the Nuggets’ position as the third seed in the Western Conference standings with a 25-11 record. Their next game is a home match against the Orlando Magic.
